In the Far North of New Zealand, where our apiaries are located, the Kanuka (Kunzea ericoides) and Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) plants flower concurrently, providing a unique dual floral source for our honey.
This premium-grade Manuka honey contains a minimum of 100 mg/kg of methylglyoxal (MGO), a bioactive compound recognized for its potent antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
Kanuka honey, meanwhile, is distinguished by its high concentration of arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs)—natural polysaccharides known for their immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects. Among New Zealand honeys, Kanuka possesses the highest AGP content, making it particularly well-suited for dermatological applications and skincare formulations.
